Summary: Spiritual yoga Most of us know about the yoga for the body but none of us actually know that there is a kind of yoga also for the soul. This book is about the yoga for the soul. It’s called bhakti-yoga, the yoga of pure love and devotion, the yoga of the highest pleasure. In the yoga of the body, you can stretch your body muscles, and feel good for sometime. With the yoga of the soul, you are able to stretch the muscels of the soul and feel good forvever, eternally. That’s the difference. That’s what this book is all about. Yes, it’s important to do yoga for the body but when you are ready for the yoga for the soul, the ultimate happiness is awaiting. Its been waiting for a long time. People require yoga masters for physical yoga, likewise, to know the path of spirituality or bhakti-yoga we need to find a teacher for spiritual yoga. For many ages, the secret knowledge was never written down. It was kept hidden in memory, and revealed only to the proper candidates. By the causeless mercy of our founder acharya A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Śrīla Prabhupād ( spiritual master for the modern age ) it was made again possible to spread the knowledge of Bhakti-Yoga among the common masses, specially the Western countries. He translated the teachings of Srī Ṛṣabhadeva in English and brought them to the Western world, giving you the chance to enter onto the path to the highest pleasure. This book is a combination of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s published translation and commentary on the original Sanskrit teachings of Ṛṣabha ( Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 5.5.1-14) and the transcripts of a series of lectures he gave on these teachings in various cities (including London, Stockholm, and Vṛndāvana, India) during the years 1969 to 1976. We wish that this book brings about a change in today’s world and people get to know more about the yoga for the soul.
